At freebpmnquality (https://freebpmnquality.github.io/) we offer a product that will be interesting for those of you who practice BPMN 2.0 business process modeling and workflow automation.
It is a free, client-side tool named QualiBPMN that you can use to evaluate BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) business process model quality and correctness. Simply put, this tool helps to check BPMN diagrams and find modeling mistakes.
According to our idea, this software tool can evolve into a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) solution with a user-friendly interface and API (Application Programming Interface) to integrate with business process modeling, workflow automation systems, other corporate systems, and model repositories.
We plan to provide essential features free of cost to let our customers try our product and find it beneficial:
- Our solution “understands” the de-facto standard of business process modeling — BPMN 2.0 (Business Process Model and Notation).
- It can detect various modeling defects, typos, and poor design solutions, and highlight them on a BPMN model diagram, so users do not need to find which concrete model element causes trouble.
- Highlighted weak spots are interactive — users may hover over them and get a detailed enough explanation of what is wrong with this element.

- It is accessible and user-friendly for all non-technical users involved in the BPMN business process modeling activity.
Quality evaluation results and improvement recommendations
We also plan to offer advanced features, such as integration API, detailed model analysis, configurable validation rules, improvement suggestions, auto-correction of typical modeling mistakes or typos, cost estimation of business process implementation, and storage of BPMN models via subscription or one-time purchase.
